This all-purpose vinaigrette is delicious on any kind of salad, drizzled on grilled chicken, or as a dip for raw veggies. We keep a bottle of this in our pantry at all times.

Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (such as canola or soybean)
Instructions

    Combine aromaticsIn a small bowl, combine the oregano and thyme. Crush the herbs a little with your fingers to help bring out the flavors. Put the herbs in a bottle or cruet, and add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

    Add oil

    Add the vinegar, olive oil, and vegetable oil to the bottle, put the cap on tightly, and shake it to combine the ingredients thoroughly.

    Shake and serve

    Shake the dressing again just before serving. Store it in a cool, dark place, like a pantry shelf.
